Thalia is passionate, caring, hard working, detail oriented and a consummate professional. In her role as Associate Producer of The Magic Bracelet, Thalia held a variety of different responsibilities. Given the abbreviated schedule for this film shoot, everything needed to go like clockwork in order to complete filming within the 4-day window. As a result of Thalia's efforts, this was accomplished. Whether working with a young crew member or the well-known talent cast in the film, Thalia treated every person with the utmost respect and professionalism. In addition to her work on set, Thalia edited a short documentary about Rina Goldberg which was awarded 4th Place in the

Thaila Buitron has worked with Make A Film Foundation in various capacities and has always showed up with enthusiasm, passion and dedication. She has worked as Directing Mentor, Editor, Volunteer, and as Associate Producer on our last short film, "The Magic Bracelet". Most recently Thalia came up with the idea for and produced an awesome fundraising event for Make A Film Foundation at the Comedy Store called Comedy Con. Thalia managed to enlist a number of A-list comedians including Sarah Silverman, Tom Papa, Yakov Smirnoff, Vargus Mason and more. The event was so successful that The Comedy Store is interested and possibly making it an annual one. What I love about Thalia is her passion. I find passion to be one of the most important components in a producer as it helps fuel the commitment to get things done. Thalia Buitron has it in spades. Thalia also has various types of production experience which combined with her event planning experience makes a terrific producer combination. The ability to engage various types of people and personalities goes a long way as well. Make A Film Foundation is happy to have Thalia on our team. Thalia Buitron would make a great addition to any team and it is my pleasure to recommend her.

-Edit trailers, promo pieces and interviews for PR and Marketing using Final Cut Pro 7.-Liaise with Casting Director and Talent Agents/Managers-Support all aspects from pre-production through distribution alongside Producing Team. There isn't anything I haven't done or wouldn't do for this project and the organization behind it. It's the perfect trifecta of creativity, production and altruism- the stuff that really moves me."The Magic Bracelet" was a Feature Length Screenplay conceived by a 15-year old powerhouse named Rina Goldberg, who also happened to be battling Mitochondrial Disease. Our non-profit organization is not equipped to handle a feature, but we enlisted the brilliant mind of Diablo Cody to adapt Rina's story into a short film, putting us on track to fulfilling this film wish. So many hearts and doors needed to be opened to make this film possible. It was my honor to work with every department to help Rina's last wish be fulfilled. Her parents, Stacy and Ari will be forever family. And since they're championing the Mito community, I've had the good fortune to remain in the know about how this film continues to impact families going through very difficult times. I'm so proud to be a part of this organization.Directed by Jon PollWritten by Rina GoldbergAdapted by Diablo CodyStarring Hailee Steinfeld, Bailee Madison, J.K. Simmons, Jackson Rathbone, James Vanderbeek and Kaitlin Doubleday.

-Develop and Create the event-Secure the Comedy Store-Liaise with agents and managers to negotiate nine headlining acts onto same bill-Manage all graphics, PR and Marketing of event-Hire event staff-Manage all aspects of event from Pre to Post ProductionThe organization I'm most inspired by lately is the Make a Film Foundation (MAFF). ComedyCon is an event I created and produced to help raise funds for MAFF's Vidz for Kidz program. MAFF teams film industry professionals with children who have serious or life-threatening medical conditions to help them create short film legacies.ComedyCon's Inaugural night of side-splitting laughter was held at the World Famous Comedy Store where nine headlining acts jumped onto the same bill for the love of the little ones. This event was such a success, it was asked to become an annual occurrence. The comedians that took the stage were:-Sarah Silverman-Tom Papa-Maz Jobrani-Chris D'Elia-Yakov Smirnoff-Jimmy Shubert-Steve Rannazzisi-Vargus Mason-Lisa Alvarado (Emcee)
