  Collaboration with LAB fuzzy team. Studies on Fuzzy Logic in Production Engineering Program of COPPE / UFRJ dating back to the 70s with the establishment of the first locational studies and economic impacts developed by Professor Carlos Alberto Nunes Cosenza. The evolution of these studies, with the passing of Professor by the University of Cambridge, added mathematical complexity in the formation of advanced locational models, today formally described in the MODEL COPPE-COSENZA industrial location applications, which also emerges as an effective model of hierarchy with applications in medicine, architecture, robotics, selection of investment alternatives, identification of regional potential which suit the demand profiles, facilitating analysis of projects, identification of demand profiles for selection of decision makers, instrument applied in different doctoral theses (work and studies contained in LAB FUZZY). Projects of great global significance have been developed by researchers in the LAB FUZZY partnerships with other institutions and laboratories of COPPE / UFRJ. The LAB FUZZY is unable to perform the following activities: - locational studies of complex plants from COPPE-Model COSENZA; - Studies of interference from large plants or industrial clusters; - Studies of the economic impacts of projects and their interactions in areas peripheral; - Studies attractiveness of products and services for centers / consumption regions; - Economic studies for analysis of business competitiveness; - Modeling complex algorithms Fuzzy Logic; - investment studies for the formation of industrial clusters with the design profile enterprises with greater adherence to the economic system; - Study for insertion of products and services in competitive markets; - Modeling performance indicators and monitoring systems; Show less
