I ran my freelance business for 10 years before I realized the projects and clients I was working with were sucking my creativity away. My outside life was pretty good, but my business was a miserable mess. I was disorganized and creatively miffed. But wait a second… Isn’t this MY biz? I knew I could do more and be more if only I was in the right environment or had the clients for it. (RIGHT!?!) I thought, "If I could do it all over again, knowing what I know now, What would I do differently?" So I fired all my clients, sold everything I owned, and took off to travel and start my business over from scratch. I’ve been on the road 1,126 days and I love the projects I work on now. I don’t claim to be an expert or have all the answers. I’m battling the same freelancing demons you are and finding my way just the same.
