I researched the historical context of how the neighborhood developed to how it functions today and recorded survey responses from residents and shop owners to get a sense of the demographics and the perception of people who live there. I used a lyrical and static street photography approach to document the physical architecture and visual ornaments that make up the neighborhoods character and took portraits as a way to show the demographics of people that would accompany their responses.
