Emily was hired onto our team during the summer of 2021. At this time the hotel industry was trying to rebound from the devastating effects of the ongoing Covid Pandemic. Policies and procedures for our industry were changing rapidly and with a very limited labor force our hotel was trying to provide excellence in customer service, while maintaining a fragile hold on our reduced associate framework. Emily entered the hotel with an positive energy, contagious work ethic and sense of humor that gave a staff who had battled through the uncertainly of Covid renewed purpose. The hotel was just opening breakfast back up to our loyal guests after the least favored brown bag option that was Covid required for over a year. With a sense of urgency Emily quickly set about ordering all required IHG Express breakfast brand products, IHG Express Cleaning Stations and ensured the hotel would be set up for success. Subsequent to this role Emily quickly mastered the Opera PMS system and worked at the Front Desk after completing her Breakfast Shift. An early morning 5am start and an end of day 3pm shift didn't deter Emily and she showed up day after day to complete her scheduled work week. Room Inspections were part of her cross training and Emily compiled a spreadsheet of Brand Standards in guest rooms, maintenance and cleanliness focused areas to assist the Hotel Management team. It was a pleasure having a dedicated, hard working and goal driven young lady on our team. Thank you Emily.
