Working with Dr. Alexander Garza, I have worked with the Evidence Review Group (ERG) of EMS Compass, performing literature reviews and organizing executive summaries of the findings of the ERG. I have worked with Dr. Garza in independent research, looking at emergency management curricula at undergraduate and graduate levels and how it pertains to health security and public health. These findings were presented at NACCHO's 2016 Preparedness Summit. Wilderness Project Leader

Jan 2011 - Aug 2013
Wilderness Project is a long running student run pre-orientation program, designed to ease the transition from high school to college by emphasizing community and social justice. I worked as Medical Commander, and was in charge of the medical needs of over sixty participants. I also organized the meal planning for a week long backcountry trip with over sixty participants. This included budgeting, organizing and preparation of the food. Finally, I worked on the Steering Committee which selected and trained the leaders for the following year. Show less
