Working with Brian is an absolute pleasure, and I feel lucky to have been able to do it on multiple occasions. As a boss/mentor, Brian provided me with a great balance of guidance and autonomy. His ability to instill confidence while continuing to challenge me was pivotal in my growth and maturation from a Senior Buyer to Divisional Merchandise Manager. When our paths crossed again a few years later, we worked more as cross-functional partners, with Brian leading evo’s entire US Brick and Mortar Retail business. Despite not working together on a daily basis, I still witnessed Brian’s impact on the business. Brian’s focus on the well-being and success of his team members set a new tone at the retail level, while his intuitive intellect was a major asset at our Senior Team meetings. Brian has always been someone who tackles challenges holistically and is always thinking multiple steps ahead. There is never a question of whether Brian will be prepared, or if he will provide value to any team he is on, and his professional yet friendly demeanor allows others to feel comfortable and confident in his company. That said, the impact of his quick wit and refreshing sense of humor cannot be overlooked as one of his best traits either. Honestly, Brain is one of the most intelligent, well-rounded, and enjoyable individuals I have ever worked with, and I would jump at any opportunity to work with him again.

I've known Brian a few years now, and in that time he has proven to be one of the brightest and most humble individuals I know. His knowledge of the outdoor and action sports industries is astounding, and his work ethic and dedication to Backcountry.com is inspiring. An expert skier and avid mountain biker, he truly lives and breathes the industry. Additionally, he is one of those guys that always asks the right questions - you know, the ones that you should have thought of but didn't - and he never shrinks from asking them, either. Finally, his communication skills are impeccable - whether in-person or via email, he conveys himself clearly, confidently, and efficiently. Indeed, I would hire him solely based on my observations of his client/vendor interactions. Any organization would be lucky to have him in their fold.
