Worked at Bundang [Seoul] office on a broadcasting management tool for KBS. It was a video and audio asset management solution, was developed to capture live video signals, then simultaneously catalog and encode those. It was used extensively by broadcasting systems. It stored all cataloger-generated meta-data and storyboard keyframe images to database on real time using COM based plug-in to SmartEncoder tool. It had newsroom web based client to manage all video/audio/clip assets. Newsroom edition client extends all APIs from core J2EE based server to make video/audio clips, manage storyboard keyframes, teletext, captions, speaker-id and meta-data information associated with video asset. Newsroom client classify clips into various folder and collection, from where EDLs [Edit Decision List] are ready to broadcast. It uses Remote Server [a pure java based application which is based on tcp/ip based socket communication] to COPY, MOVE, DELETE, ARCHIVE, and RESTORES video assets between various Video Servers. Core server is developed based on MVC architecture using J2EE technologies. It supported all other asset formats required for broadcasting agencies, like: document, image, and static video/audio assets. Show less

A Knowledge Object (KO) refers to a document file of any format attached to an XML template with several enterprise level elements. Every KO has access permissions that allow a user to view, print, check-in, check-out, download, and mail it. Users can search for KOs and request the administrator for access permissions for select KOs.
