To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to recommend Rev. Dawson Bean. I had the opportunity to get to know Dawson while he was serving as a Campus Minister with Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Tennessee at Martin. During Dawson's time as a Campus Minister, I had the privilege of serving on a committee that oversaw his work. As I had the opportunity to get to know Dawson, I am thankful that I had the opportunity to learn his character. Dawson was faced with a tremendously challenging job at the University of Tennessee at Martin. During this time, I was able to witness Dawson's willingness to put forward great effort at meeting the challenges of fund raising and gathering a group of students at the University. I was also given the opportunity to witness his desire to reach and serve the students a midst the challenges. Dawson consistently sought to be faithful to his calling to serve the students and the campus. At times that required creativity to meet the unique challenges of that particular University. I was also impressed with Dawson's honesty and integrity. Dawson was always willing to share and be transparent about his concerns and struggles as well as the joys and triumphs in his ministry and personal life. I did not have the opportunity to witness firsthand the use of Dawson's ministry gifts while he served as a Campus Minister in Martin, TN. This prevents me from commenting directly concerning his preaching/teaching, counseling, or discipleship skills. However, through conversations with Dawson, I was impressed with his willingness to be flexible in his programming in order to make efforts to reach out to the challenging demographic of the campus. Dawson appeared to labor very well in faithfulness to the unchanging gospel, while being able to adapt and be flexible with his methodology. Thank you for taking the time to read this recommendation, and if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be contacted via email at nathan.tircuit@gmail.com. I met Mr. Bean three years ago as he coordinated Greek Life Bible studies at The University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM). Through countless hours of conversation he became more than just a Campus Minister to my fraternity chapter and myself, he became a friend. He was an integral part in changing the mind set of our campus who had a stereotypical idea of Greeks and for that myself and many others have been very thankful and appreciative. I would frequently turn to Dawson with questions about our faith, the Bible, and life advice. Mr. Bean did and continues to do far more for UTM than just Greek Life Bible studies. He has orchestrated many things for God's glory on our campus. From being a friendly face to new freshman to a firm handshake to the seasoned students, his work at UTM is invaluable and priceless. He was to me and still is just a phone call or text away for students, alumni, faculty and staff. The way he lives and is involved in the lives of so many has provided such an amazing influence and example for us. Since graduating in December of 2015, I have often times remembered his lessons, interpretations, and advice in my now post-graduate life. There is no words that can possibly do him justice, but a few that come to mind for me are teacher, mentor, and most importantly friend. I will conclude this recommendation with a simple, but profound THANK YOU!
