I want to help you fall in love with God and His Word and laugh along the way. That's why I blog. Sure, I love to write, but if what I write doesn't help draw you closer to God and His Word, I've missed the mark. If I make you laugh while you read, that's an extra blessing. Studying the Bible is fun. If it's not, you're not doing it right. Let me help you find the joy in it. Life with Christ is fun, too, even though it can be downright painful at times. Ask Paul when you see him in heaven. He endured shipwrecks, beatings, and prison more than once. But he was filled with joy. How else could he sing praise songs in prison? Laughter springs out of joy. Joy flows out of knowing and loving Christ. And nothing reveals Christ to us more than His Word. So join me on my blog and let's fall in love with God and His Word and laugh along the way. Show less

      • Sep 2015 - Sep 2018

I joined Columbia Toastmasters #1393 in September 2015 to improve my communication and leadership skills. I accepted the role of Vice President of Public Relations for our club this year. We're the oldest Toastmasters club in the Columbia. We have a great time encouraging and helping each other become the best communicators and leaders we can be. I stepped down once I took on the position as Head Mentor for Word Weavers International in order not to stretch myself too thin, but Toastmasters is a wonderful organization and I miss my friends there. • Bible Teacher
      • Sep 2015 - May 2018

I taught the wonderful ladies of this Women to Women Bible study each week at Temple Baptist Church. I had to step down once my other responsibilities stepped up to the point where I knew I wouldn't have the time to properly prepare the lessons. God's Word demands proper attention and these wonderful ladies deserve a teacher who has the time to bring them a great lesson. I miss it terribly and am thrilled each time I get to step in as a substitute teacher. Teaching God's Word is a gift I treasure and take seriously. Show less
