I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sara for the three and half years, during which I was the financial business partner supporting her and her Snacks team at Kellogg’s Specialty Channel. Above all, I was impressed with Sara’s results oriented focus, leadership in a complex matrix organization and approachability which allowed the team to grow and flourish. Sara would be a strong asset to any organization’s senior leadership and comes with my heartfelt recommendation. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again.

Sara is one of the most capable marketers I have had the pleasure to work with over my 30-year career. As a matter of course, Sara always develops a strategic plan for her businesses before engaging in the tactical aspects. This keeps her and the team focused and on track in the world of ever-changing priorities. During the annual business unit planning process Sara always took the lead in the development of the overall Strategic and Tactical plans. This involved working with the Division President and CFO, the Sales-Marketing-Operations VP’s and the other marketing Directors. As you can imagine, this was like herding cats. She always brought the process to a successful conclusion with the development of a fully integrated Division plan. Her easy-going style was appreciated by not only her team, but by me as well. Energetic with an easy smile and laugh, she always inspired trust and confidence in myself and the senior management team. In fact, Sara was the go-to person for projects that were complicated or had a short timeframe for completion. One of the many areas Sara excels in is collaboration across different functional areas in a heavily matrixed organization. She is able to clearly set objectives, timelines and process, working tirelessly to ensure that all areas get the resources needed to successful complete the project. This is evidenced in the successful development and launch of numerous new products and promotions for iconic brands such as Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats and Keebler. In the area of business management, Sara provided great direction and mentorship to everyone in her sphere of influence…not just her team, but those above/around her as well. She managed not only the P&L for her group but the entire marketing budget for the department. In the three years I worked with Sara, she always met or exceeded her budgeted profit, volume and spending numbers. This is extraordinary considering the highly competitive nature of the food landscape today. In summary, Sara is an outstanding leader, mentor, team member and person. If I was still in Corporate America today, I would hire her in a New York minute.
