Bio
Dr. Brian Yusko
I worked closely with Mohammad from August 2008 through December 2009 when he worked under me as a Technology Graduate Assistant when I directed the Office of Field Services. The responsibilities of this position included the maintenance and ongoing design of our office database, the maintenance of our web site, and assistance for office staff with technology needs. Over and over again, Mohammad proved himself to be professional, dedicated, and technologically talented. He was a responsive and responsible employee who completed all assigned work efficiently with a high level of quality. Moreover, he was friendly and courteous, so it was always a pleasure to work with him. I hired Mohammad because of his demonstrated proficiency in FileMaker Pro. The week before the interviews, I informed all applicants that they would need to show their knowledge of this software package during the interview. Even though he had not used this software before, Mohammad quickly learned the software using available online tutorials. He also developed a simple but sophisticated sample database to present to me during the interview. In addition, Mohammad demonstrated his interpersonal and communication skills during the interview by tutoring others to create formulas in Microsoft Excel. While he was in the position, I was thrilled with the quality of Mohammad’s work. He quickly became an expert in the software and continued to learn new features all the time. He was dedicated to the office and he was able to accomplish necessary tasks on a tight deadline. He was very detail oriented. When I assigned a task with broad guidelines, I knew he would work hard to meet or exceed my expectations. Besides being a hard worker, Mohammad contributed his initiative and creativity to the position. He routinely asked questions about the design of our database and made several valuable suggestions to make it more efficient or user friendly. He independently explored options for making our database accessible over the Internet and pilot-tested these innovations. Finally, Mohammad had a very pleasant personality. He worked well with everyone in the office and made himself available to troubleshoot all kinds of technology-related problems in the office. I am happy to provide my highest recommendation for Mohammad Midani. I have no doubt that he will excel in whatever area he chooses to pursue.
