I was responsible for the outreach, marketing, and overall organization of the event. In Marketing, I was able to bring in an attendance of 500 people for a 300 person max capacity event. The outreach required emailing organizations of both sides of the gun debate ( for and against) and I was able to work with both sides to create a peaceful town hall. With minimal reputation, I was able to convince representatives, the chief of police, activist, and a senator in order to come to speak at the event. I helped create a line up for the participants of the town hall to speak to. This eventually became the main project OurSafety worked for years and it increased its participation by working on multiple towns halls for multiple issues. Show less
