Also responsible for the Transmission System Outage Scheduling Office, operating system representation maps and control room map boards. During this period, I was responsible for the following projects: - Implementing the conversion of PREPA’s operating system single-line diagrams maintenance process from manual- and paper-based to CAD-based. - Converting PREPA’s day-ahead outage scheduling process from a manual card-file-based system to an automated electronic database system. - Overseeing the conversion of paper-based switching and tagging orders archive into a WordPerfect based archive with a database index. - Developed spreadsheet models to compare and benchmark the behavior and performance of SCADA operated voltage-reduction circuits at PREPA's distribution substations and its impact on the sub-transmission and transmission network. - Designed and developed a process for the validation of real (P) and reactive (Q) power SCADA measurements at PREPA's EMS displays in the absence of a working State Estimator.Additional duties included preparing and giving training presentations for system operators and PREPA power plant engineers and operators.
