  My local school district gave me the wonderful opportunity to embark on my second career as a public school teacher. I served as a substitute paraprofessional, an all-day substitute teacher (covering all grades, K-12), and, for the final 9 weeks of the school year, as a long-term substitute teacher. I taught 8th grade Mathematics and Algebra to 78 delightful and lovable young men and women, and will always remember them as my first class.
