TJ and I worked together at Infogroup in the ReferenceUSA division. The positive impact that TJ leaves on colleagues such as myself and his clients cannot be summed up adequately in one recommendation. Clients from territories TJ used to manage still come up to me to praise how good of a job TJ had done to train, support, and connect with them. To his colleagues, TJ is generous with his knowledge and his help. TJ’s intelligence and capacity to handle complex situations helps him solve difficult problems. Under highly stressful circumstances, TJ could compartmentalize multiple tasks and take care of each one in a timely manner. But the most impressive skill TJ has is the ability to work with people effectively to accomplish a shared goal. I hold TJ in highest regard for his integrity and work ethics. Any organization will be lucky to have him.

Public Library & Government Division - Reference SolutionsTerritory: Washington D.C., NY, PA, VA, CT, MA, VT, NH, ME, RI, MD, DE, FL, GA, IAI manage a $1.3 million book of business in a 15 state territory for the benefit of public libraries, government agencies, and the SMB community. Data Axle is a mass compiler of business & consumer information; using this data to it's full potential, I serve as an account manager to the public library system and a marketing consultant to the business community and local municipalities.I travel to a new state every month to provide in-depth training to current clients and to meet with prospective clientele to sell our research database, Reference Solutions. In order to bolster more SMB contacts, I reach out to chambers of commerce, small business development centers, economic development centers, and other local government networks to co-sponsor events that I host at the public library system. On behalf of the patrons of our library clients, I teach two classes; a lead generation marketing course for the business community and a job seeker course for individuals transitioning into new careers. For government accounts, I engage in solution driven dialogue to municipalities that strive to benefit their city's communities using targeted demographic and geo-coded data.To exceed my annual sales quota, I target larger size cities and public library systems that have less budgetary constraints and more freedom to carry out projects that generate revenue for Infogroup. Scheduling appointments, hosting demos by webinar and in person, providing training, and building numerous proposals to a wide audience ensures that I meet and exceed the goals I have set for myself. In a data and technology driven society, I encourage the business market, and myself, to apply ‘big data’ to generating a healthy pipeline of prospective clientele.

On behalf of Energizer Holdings, Inc., I manage and sustain a $6 million book of twenty-nine accounts spanning between central Nebraska and western Iowa. Establishing goals to over-achieve my sales quota requires persistent scheduling of meetings with clientele management to communicate Energizer's corporate initiatives that influence store level projects directly impacting profit increases of consumer goods sold. I maintain a contact list of key decision makers that I openly express ideas with, communicate and present sales proposals to, and close deals guaranteeing additional market share for our product line. To ensure that sales of Energizer display units offer incremental gains in POS, I manage inventory levels through merchandising and direct order approvals. Account managers are given monthly deadlines; headquarter promotions arrive to our accounts that requires efficient project management, delegation of responsibility, and tactful implementation to maximize consumer exposure. To better penetrate a wider market audience, I initiate quarterly e-mail contact to district managers that identify positive selling trends in successful selling accounts, analyzes issues that have lead to decreasing sales of accounts and offer potential solutions to said problems. Scheduling sit-down meetings with district managers allows me to negotiate selling strategies implemented in multiple accounts and to gain purchase orders for up to eight accounts at one time, often resulting in high volume sales. With the strength of popular brand name items, I prioritize and isolate Energizer product sales into trimesters to appropriately sustain and sell products just prior to their peak selling seasons. Effective communication, sales, business to business relations, inventory management, and strategic scheduling skills aid in my overall success as a territory account manager.

Using in-store ordering systems, I directly replenish product that is needed to maintain profits without creating waste. Reoccurring every year I host a lawn and garden educational clinic, teaching the importance of proper feeding, fertilization, and how to combat common gardening issues with our products based on issues such as invasive weeds, insects, and weather and heat issues. Responsibilities in the Feeds Lab included unloading parcels of product sample from various carriers in the morning, then taking those samples to the lab where our team would unload, sort, and layout product in order according to their paperwork. Whilst laying out client's paperwork, I make certain that pertinent information is listed, including name and contact information, a list of samples sent in, and specific analysis requested of those samples. Once paperwork is laid out, we can place sample cups in front of them, sticker them according to what lab they will need additional testing in, then prep, cap up, and deliver samples to the required lab. Before doing so we make certain each is labeled with an ID number that is filed into our computer system to ensure nothing gets lost or mixed up. Feeds receiving works directly with each of the following labs: Feeds (Human and Pet), Soils, Microbiology, Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS), Fuels, and Specials. While preparing food samples, I take necessary precautions to avoid contamination or direct contact with potentially harmful chemicals or bacteria. This includes wearing safety goggles, latex gloves, and a face mask when necessary. I aid and assist in analysis of mostly pet foods, to test and assure that food products are safe for consumption and ready for distribution. Midwest Laboratories helps aid in different substantial monetary decisions farmers, agricultural agencies, and food companies will need to make in their near future.
