I’ve known Patrick since early 2020. Since that time, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Patrick primarily in a coaching capacity. That said, I have also had the pleasure of watching him grow and develop beyond the field. Patrick is inherently motivated and takes great pride in his work ethic. Similar to my experience with North Miami's baseball team, the Sluggers provided me with an assistant coaching position with the same head coach. The Sluggers are a summer baseball organization for more advanced players that runs from 10U to 17U age groups. Throughout the whole summer, the team travels to universities, park complexes, and high schools to compete in tournaments against other advanced teams. My role with this organization was the same as it was with North Miami, being a role model to the younger players, connecting with them, and coaching first base during contests. Show less

My internship at North Miami High School consisted of assisting and learning from the Athletic Director. My experiences included learning how to input student's information for athletic eligibility in the computer and what steps to take to set up the field or court before an exhibition game. I learned what the everyday life at the computer is like and how quickly a small change can cause your schedule for the week to get flipped inside out. In my experience interning at North Miami, I developed relationships with other employees at the school and students. The AD appreciated the work I helped him with and gave me a great review. Assistant Baseball Coach

My position at North Miami consisted mainly of assisting the head coach with practices and coaching first base during games. With me being close to the team's average age, I could connect to them better in certain areas and they would listen to me. Also as a collegiate baseball player, I could provide drills and ideas to the coach that he could implement in practices so that they could perfect more advanced skills.
