Assistant Cross Country Coach

As an assistant cross country coach (girls and boys), I helped facilitate practice 5 days a week and attended meets most weekends during the fall season. This year, our girls' team qualified for the State Championship for the first time since 1994.

As a volunteer assistant coach, I attended and facilitated practices and meets for the Albemarle High School Girls' Cross Country team (fall) and Winter Track team (winter). I helped lead practice 4 days a week and attended most meets. My role included helping plan workouts, leading workouts, running with the girls, and supporting them both at practice and at school.

I completed my student teaching at Albemarle High School. I assisted with the planning and instruction of two AP Calculus AB classes, three AP Calculus BC classes, and one Algebra 1 Part 2 SPED collaborative class.

Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, I was the direct supervisor to Junior Counselors. I oversaw the day-to-day operations of the camp including set up of special programs, meals, staff training, and more. I created the summer and weekly schedules for Junior Counselors and supervised all work projects. As a member of the Leadership Team, I was responsible for helping to promote Westview, hire staff, lead trainings, and otherwise assist the development of the camp.

Senior Counselor

As a Senior Counselor, I was given extra responsibilities at camp. I led a cabin and a day group of 15-20 campers each week, taught camp activities, and was responsible for the safety and well-being of the campers. Each of my two summers as a Senior Counselor, I spent between 8 and 10 weeks living and working at Westview. I have also worked for various retreats at camp during the school year.

Worked as a Junior Counselor at an overnight, Christian summer camp for 3-4 weeks per summer. In charge of assisting Senior Counselors in leading activities and taking care of campers aged 7-14, as well as being a positive role model.
