Our team provided project management, financial services, and program support for various design and engineering projects with a power distribution element. Beyond that, I directly managed the project support team, supervising project managers, program coordinators, estimators, cost analysts, and schedulers. I maintained oversight of a portfolio valued over $110 million, handling prime and subcontractor contracts and overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and training.I played an instrumental role in the creation of Cordoba’s project management playbook, aiming to standardize methodologies and provide tools and guidelines to project teams throughout every stage, from initiation to closeout. This playbook prominently features project management methodologies such as flowcharts and checklists for various tasks including opportunity assessment, proposal development, bid reviews, and comprehensive project planning, spanning a broad range of managerial areas from stakeholder to safety management. I worked with three other environmental engineering students to design a low-cost and electricity-free water filtration unit capable of reducing concentrations of uranium, arsenic, and bacteria in contaminated feed waters to levels below the maximum contamination limit as set by the Safe Drinking Water Act. Work involved literature review, generation of proposal, experimental design, prototype fabrication, water sample analysis, economic analysis, report writing, client meetings, website design using Adobe Dreamweaver, and oral presentations. The focus of the project was to aid the residents of the former Bennett Freeze Area of the Navajo Nation. A working prototype that satisfied all design criteria and constraints was demonstrated. I was awarded my B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University in May, 2014.
