Communicating and disseminating research information for National Research Institute’s programs effectively to third parties; building the capacity of research personnel to produce high quality research papers and through a hands-on approach ensure that the message of a paper is clear and communicated simply and effectively.Key Responsibilities*Develop communication plans, and media and public relations activities for the specific National Research Institute program and component projects within participating state agencies and NRI.*Implement, manage and evaluate communication, media and public relations strategies.*Research, write, distribute and manage the production of a range of communication activities including advertising, print material, media releases, community announcements, fact sheets, and briefing notes for the respective NRI spokespeople.*Monitor the organizational and media environment to advise key staff and stakeholders of emerging issues that may have the potential to impact publicly on the policy development in PNG.*Manage external suppliers in the delivery of publicity campaigns, awareness publications and marketing/communication collateral.*Build relationships and establish positive working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for NRI programs.*Develop and manage media partnerships and sponsorship arrangements to deliver program and project outcomes.*Actively innovate and improve strategies, processes, systems and ways of doing things within the programs and the broader PNG community.*Work in partnership with other areas of marketing and communication to achieve program objectives.*Contribute to the continuous improvement of the NRI programs.
