  Master Thesis in Bioinformatics : "Large scale analysis of Differential Gene Expression". Microarray technology yields the transcriptome of cells. We can thus compare the expression levels from one biological condition (treatment, disease) to another (control). The search for differentially expressed genes are usually done on a limited dataset (examples are Pawitan et al 2005, Sotiriou et al 2006). Using the tools developped by the spin-off inSilico DB (https://insilico.ulb.ac.be), we can access a very wide public gene expression repository. Merging all this microarray data should give us an unprecedented opportunity to perform a high-throughput genomic study and allowing us to do innovative research. Show less
