Molly is an enthusiastic, dedicated and determined individual who embraces any challenge that comes her way; willing to throw herself, sometimes literally, into any task she is given. Whether it be diligently (and relentlessly) moving tiny objects millimetres at a time for stop-motion animations, or puppeteering a small toy rabbit in the street, in the rain, she embraces each job no matter how strange, with passion and zeal. Her happy outlook and positive attitude often brings out the best in her co-workers and fosters a harmonious atmosphere in every project in which she is involved. Whether she was designing infographics at short notice, or helping produce a short film, she has been an invaluable part of the team at Action for Children and will be an asset to any company lucky enough to employ her.

Molly has been a fantastic asset to the Students Union and the University in her time at Roehampton. Molly was an excellent officer to work alongside. She was highly driven and dedicated to managing campaigns which improved the experience for students studying at the University of Roehampton. Molly is passionate and enthusiastic and approaches issues close to her heart with tenacity. She showed great leadership to students which delivered a number of campaigns to great effect. She is hard working, genuine and a pleasure to work with.

    • Digital Media Assistant
      • Nov 2015 - Feb 2016

As Digital Media Assistant I am responsible for creating engaging content for the charity's main website and social media channels; in particular to support fundraising events, key campaigns and strategic objectives. As well as this I regularly update the main website using a content management system, work closely with colleagues to produce film content and utilise my graphic design skills to create original, shareable content within brand guidelines.

As an Events Assistant my main role was to support the running of Action for Children’s flagship fundraising event, Byte Night. Byte Night is the UK’s largest sleep-out which takes place in 8 locations across the UK. Byte Night is now in its 18th year and has raised over £1 million every year since 2012. Prior to the event I had to research and liaise with a broad range of event suppliers, process invoices using an online finance system and produce event logistics documents such as briefings and inventories. I also supported the recruitment of volunteers by contacting Students’ Unions around the country, sending email communications to previous volunteers and using social media to promote the opportunity. It was my responsibility to also organise the packing and delivery of event supplies for each site. As I have a particular passion for, and experience in, communications I ran the Byte Night Twitter and Facebook accounts throughout September and October, increasing both engagement and reach. Our twitter engagement this year compared to last doubled, and our Facebook post reach was multiplied by 500%. As well as this I produced and co-ordinated email communications to our event participants and volunteers using Releasd and Adestra. I also supported the team by taking on some fundraising tasks such as using Raisers’ Edge to code supporter pages on JustGiving, and placing phone calls to event participants to support fundraising outcomes. I co-ordinated elements of the event on-site at Byte Night London and worked with a team of volunteers to deliver them. I also filmed and edited video content on the day to be used across our social media platforms.

Vice President Campaigns was an elected sabbatical position. As Vice President I was a trustee of Roehampton Students' Union (RSU) and a lead representative for the students of Roehampton. My portfolio of work was Campaigns so I was also responsible for the planning, execution and communication of all RSU lead campaigns. This included: Go Green Fortnight, Breast Cancer Awareness, Don't Dis-my-ability Week, Think before you Drink, a General Election campaign encouraging students to vote and more. I was also responsible for RAG (Raising and Giving) efforts and set up the first RAG committee, ran the first RSU Jailbreak, organised a RAG week which included an Oktoberfest celebration, a dodgeball tournament, and a Zombie run, and assisted with the co-ordination of a Live 24 hour radio show.Communication was a key part of my role, as well as a big personal interest, and so during my time at RSU I took on the responsibility of running the RSU Instagram account as well as utilising snapchat, Facebook and Twitter to promote campaigns. I also worked closely with the Fresh Air Radio intern and Fresh TV intern; recording jingles and writing scripts for and directing videos. An example of this is the video we produced to explain the General Election to students which was 'Highly Commended' in the factual category at the National Student Television Association Awards. As a sabbatical officer I was also expected to write regular reports on the achievements of the Students' Union, blogs to update students on what I had been working on, and content for our student led magazine. I also often lead on agenda items in meetings, committees and councils, presenting ideas or updates to students, staff and members of the local community.
