John is truly a visionary leader who possesses the ability to see outside of the box and develop both long and short term strategies for fiscal, operational and maintenance processes and programs. John’s contributions while leading Intelligrated’ s Life Cycle Services departments and group was nothing short of outstanding. He took an aged and stagnant program and developed action orientated leadership and financial plans to drive production and top line revenue to the company. He was an understanding and compassionate leader who can drive performance through positive mentorship, partnerships and relationships. It was a pleasure to work with John. His ability to mentor and teach was the best I have experienced since leaving the US. Navy.

I didn't work directly for John, but I was lucky enough to work around him and with people within his organization. My personal belief is if we want better leaders in Corporate America, we need to take the time to praise the ones that are doing things right. It was impressive to witness John effectively lead large scale culture and operational change initiatives in our company's most challenging division. It's easy to get cynical working in Corporate America. You read articles about how to lead organizations effectively and it can take a lot to not roll your eyes, especially when looking at the daunting challenges companies face. Yet John actually DID those things and lo and behold, it worked. While some leaders paid lip service and spewed platitudes, John lived them. His employees respected him and began to embrace the changes he was making. I still marvel at it all. Any company with John Sorensen in their leadership team should count themselves very lucky. His leadership ability is of the highest caliber. I was fortunate to be a witness.
