- Data I/O of all media that has been delivered to Splice: ingesting various types of media through the software Avid Media Composer. - Assessing media that is provided to our Ingest Team; understanding camera formats, codecs, frame rates and resolutions.- Understanding and following workflows to ingest the media, as well as organizing and keeping up with DIT logs.- Delivering transcoded rushes and media to offline editors on tight turn around and deadlines. - Exporting media; adjusting spec of a cut depending on clients request such as adjusting codec and resolutions, applying timecodes, creating split tracks and creating Edit Decision Lists. - Creating sync maps and groups for offline editors by syncing rushes with multiple cameras as well as external audio.- Able to spot and flag inconsistencies to Producers and Management to align with broadcast specifications. Due to my attention to detail, I have begun to assist on editing existing workflows, as well as producing workflows for new projects with the oversight of my Line Manager. - Offering support to offline editors, communicating through email, phone and remote assistance to tackle any issues that may arise.- Gained an understanding of all the third party software that surrounds the workings of a post-production workflow; various conversion softwares including Media Encoder as well as asset management and productivity tools such as Avid Interplay and Forescene/Blackbird.- Teaching new Edit Assistants how to transcode media and constantly providing support while my knowledge increases.
