Ports of Auckland's Multi Cargo facilities encompass five wharves on the Waitemata waterfront, adjacent to the Auckland central business district. These wharves include the finger wharves Marsden and Captain Cook, along with Bledisloe, Freyberg and Jellicoe wharves in the middle of the port facility.Multi Cargo handles a variety of breakbulk cargo (steel, timber, dry and liquid bulk), containers and vehicles. Many of the vessels calling at the Multi Cargo Wharves serve the Pacific Islands trades.Ports of Auckland manages berthage and wharf space, with cargo-handling services provided by third-party stevedoring companies.Many of these wharves handle Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessels importing cars and other vehicles.As Operations Supervisor, my role at Multi Cargo encompasses many different facets including liaison & support between third party stevedores, shipping lines and transport companies, planning and allocating vessels to the optimal working berths, managing yard space for receivals and deliveries, updating data and information consistently and accurately, and overseeing projects and minimising their impact on other port operations. My team completed all the planned maintenance inspections on the gas network in Auckland, Warkworth, Wellsford and Whangarei. Our work was measured by monthly KPI's for work completed and I was responsible for working to and controlling the annual budget of $1.7 million and providing monthly forecasts, as well as proactively managing costs, revenue and ebit. I worked extensively with SAP PM, to manage our assets and workflow, and with Siebel as our Customer Management System. Show less
