Responsible for the oversight of 128 prisoners on a daily basis to ensure compliance with MDOC policy. Directly supervise 15 Prisoner Workers on a daily basis and provide payroll to 148 Prisoner Observation Aides on a monthly basis. I have made changes to make the housing unit a better and more safe environment for Officers and Prisoners, like creating a recreation clerk office where all equipment is stored and inventoried. Also have empowered the Recreation Porter to create and facilitate special events on a regular basis to keep the other prisoners entertained and occupied. This lessens depression around the holidays and keeps certain prisoners from seeking out other means of coping.
