James and I worked together in the Marketing department of StorMagic. During that time, we collaborated on a wide variety of projects ranging from high profile events to digital campaigns. James was always focused, insightful and organised; an asset to both the team and organisation. I would highly recommend, and would gladly work together with him in the future!

James is a great asset to the team, Marketing and data analysis skills have never been more important within a Marketing team, and James has an excellent understanding of these areas and produced many of our most industry leading papers. James’s skill with digital and social media is fantastic, he is a great team player and fun to work with, many of the projects, campaigns and tactical marketing work James produces are time sensitive and he delivers them on time, every time. I am sure James will be going places and would recommend his work to anyone, I also look forward to racing him on the streets of Bristol (he wins every time)

In June 2019 I was offered the chance to lead the Bristol office's marketing team, delivering on StorMagic's marketing plan, both for the channel and end user customers. This covers website, design, email, social media, copy writing, advertising, events and partnerships. In this time I have furthered my knowledge in technical areas such as Salesforce (Apex code), developed my nascent management and leadership skills and worked on higher-level strategic projects for the business.

In my time at GDS I was been involved in a wide range of projects and activities within marketing, primarily for GDS' Summits. A major part of this has been the transformation of the Summits' social media strategy which has become a cornerstone of how the business is now marketed, through the use of streamlined Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ accounts, putting us at the heart of the business executives who attend our events. Within the role I gained significant experience of software including Microsoft Dynamics, ClickDimensions and Hubspot, as well as using WordPress CMS, Google Analytics and social media management tools such as TweetDeck. I was also responsible for analysing the valuable data generated by the Summits, including the attendee feedback process, using it to create unique, insightful content that mirrors the high-level nature of the Summits themselves. When I returned home from university between terms, I worked in a whole range of different jobs on a temporary basis, including factory-based food processing for British Bakels and packaging clinical supplies for DHL. Working in such a diverse set of environments really introduced me to different roles and allowed me to really broaden my skill set at a time when I was relatively inexperienced in the working environment. Not long after turning 17 I started my first job for SportsDirect.com in their shop in Banbury. It was a fantastic experience for me, and working directly with the public every weekend really helped to develop my communication skills and become a far more confident person. I dealt first hand with customer complaints and disputes and worked in all areas of the shop in between my studies in Sixth Form.
