Julie Platt completed an internship in the Pittsburgh office of Duane Morris Government Strategies (DMGS) under my supervision during the summer of 2017. Over the course of the internship, Julie made consistent contributions to the firm and I hold her work ethic in high regard. The internship experience at DMGS focused on developing Julie’s writing & researching abilities, especially on public law & policy. Julie regularly demonstrated her ability to read and review complex federal legislation to analyze its policy implications and economic impacts, summarizing both for communication with key clients. In addition, Julie excelled in several projects including an analysis of environmental regulatory developments and policy briefs on developing sectors such as cybersecurity & health care. From the beginning of her internship, Julie readily displayed a willingness and ability to quickly become fluent in complex policy subject matter. I am confident that Julie will be able to bring her intelligence, organization, writing, and research skills to her next organization.

Julie is an amazing person. She is a careful thinker and a hard worker. Julie is creative and capable of taking on any intellectual challenge that might be outside her comfort zone. Any employer should be honored to have Julie on board.
