M8, M73, M74 Motorway Improvements - Gantries Package.Design, Manufacture and Installation of 57 No. Portal Gantries (ITS/ADS) (1,900 tons)I have been responsible for the key aspects through all the stages of the Project. At the early stage of the Design I had coordinated the inclusion of the regulatory design guidelines as well as the Clients design variations. During the Manufacture Phase, I have managed the follow up of the manufacture, keeping a Quality and progress track and communicating it to the Client. Through the Installation Phase I have successfully cordinated logistics, which involved international means and personnel, submission of H&S documents (RAMS, Lifting Plans etc.) as well as all the Quality aspects of the Project (National Highways Sector Schemes). One of the most challenging points of the Project has been the Site inspections which have comprised several stages according to the Traffic Management and other external conditions: installation nights, the subsequent ancillary installations and paint repairs, snagging inspections with Transport Scotland representatives. Thus, I have managed and coordinatedthe required finishing works for the 57 No. full-of-detail structures. The on-time delivery dates and an increased turnover from Tender Phase of 58%, demonstrate the successfull results of a Project in the framework of one of the most important Scottish Roadworks to date.
