Danish regional film fund FilmFyn was established in 2003 and covers the area of Fyn (Funen) in the very heart of Denmark. Owned by nine municipalities, our goal is to stimulate local creative jobs, branding of the region and cultural value revolving around film and television series. FilmFyn holds a strong track record of investing in more than 100 successful productions so far, the majority being in national high quality features and tv-series, many of which have enjoyed great international attention. As Executive Producer for almost ten years I was closely involved in assessing and assisting projects in many stages applying for funding - always with a focus on stimulating the best use of the local resources and companies in the region. My main responsabilities involved: - assessing and qualifying projects applying for funding in liason to the CEO, and closing contracts for the projects FilmFyn invested in - providing service to the funded projects in all stages of production - strategic input involving talent development, educational activities, development of the local filmindustry - PR, press and marketing activities Show less

In my own production company - 'some like it real' I produced short and documentary films with subjects often revolving around social or cultural issues. Being an independent business owner has strengthened my skills within sales, PR, management and financial planning and controlling. • Mar 2012 - Oct 2014

In 2012 The Danish Film Institute and Kulturregion Fyn implemented an ambitious media literacy project called 'De små børn møder filmen' (Small children meet film) for preschool children in the region of Fyn. The goal was to provide preschoolers the opportunity to experience, understand and create film by offering tailored short film cinema screening as well as fundamental film/animation training for teachers. As Project Manager I was responsible for designing and implementing the project from A-Z and forming long lasting partnerships across ten municipalities with local pre-schools, cinemas, libraries and educators. The project became a great success and is still running. During the project's first year more than 10.000 children had their first cinema experience watching carefully selected short films and learning about cinematic language. Show less

Mayday Film was a division of the large Danish national TV production company STV, which produces prime time entertainment programming for Scandinavia. The company focus is part creative commercial film and advertising and part documentary film and TV programming in collaboration with nordic national television stations, universities and private companies. At Mayday / STV I was in charge of managing and producing my own projects from the stages of idea development, through funding and production. My main focus was science and knowledge driven documentaries, among them a series on on ethical dilemmas for the Danish Ethics Committee as well as a number of programs for the Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation. I also worked to develop a large edutainment animation series for children intended for international broadcast. A project which received MEDIA development support in 2012. Show less

At Documentary.dk I was applying my skills as a visual anthropologist to a unique concept of using documentary film and ethnographic methods as a tool for organisational development. The concept is called "Forandringsfilm" and is aimed mainly at assisting larger companies through processes of change and organisational development. I also had a key role in developing new documentary projects for TV and was the main researcher and project coordinator for a large EU- funded series about the future of food and farming in Europe in the year 2020. The series was awarded 3rd. prize for CAP 50 Communication Award 2012. In August of 2010 Documentary.dk merged with STV / Mayday Film, where I was then employed. Show less

    • Head of Video Workshop

I have four years of experience as head of a Video-Workshop producing commercial, fiction, and documentary video in an educational environment. I was responsible for 11 youth students daily, many struggling with social difficulties. I also maintained the workshop's upkeep, budget, and PR efforts. At OPH I have expanded my ability to convey my knowledge of film making, as well as gaining more experience with pedagogy, cross professional teamwork, and project management. (I was on maternity leave twice for the duration of this position). Show less
