Customers bring us a range of challenging manufacturing projects which cover a wide range of chemical technologies from the IVD space (molecular biology, immuno-based, DNA sequencing, clinical chemistry, etc.) When a customer is looking for a third party diagnostic manufacturing partner for their product I help find the site with the right manufacturing capabilities and quality systems, support technology transfer from customer to Sigma-Aldrich and proposals for pilots, validation and commercial production of the IVD product. I support the sales team with pricing out these complex, long-term projects and contracts like supply and quality agreements. I work with an excellent team of globally positioned colleagues and manufacturing sites to support our business in Europe. I am based in St. Louis for proximity to our main IVD CMO site while working with these customers and colleagues via extensive field travel to Europe.
