As a Director, you're always encountering problems in an electronic medium needing solutions and individuals who can put plans in action to solve them. I always felt relief in the confidence of knowing that Dave Fortin was there to shadow these problems or concerns, anticipating events yet to occur, finding a sense of normalcy, harmony and balance to given situations. His being in the control room and about the area, made my job easier, less stressful. Let me put it another way, if I were choosing personnel for a control room/electronic environment, Dave would be at the top of my list.

Dave is an excellent engineer in support of TV operations. Aside from using his IT knowledge to keep equipment talking, Dave also used his production background to inform his decisions. He made choices that helped the people who had to operate the equipment everyday.
