I initially started operating H.O.W.D.Y. Media as a business in 2000, taking on graphic design projects at first, but transitioned in to a more web development-centric focus. In 2005, after successfully creating and launching an eCommerce website while with Dellas Graphics, I decided to create my own wristband product and leave Dellas Graphics to become self-employed.Over the past dozen and more years, I've had the pleasure of working for some of the largest entities in the world, including the PCI Security Standards Council (jointly chaired by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and Discover) over 3 years, BT (British Telecommunications), Telus, Bell Canada, REBNY, Frenkel, American Cancer Society, and many more.To date, I've completed over 800 project of varying complexity, from designing print ads and food packaging, to creating complex HIPAA compliant web applications. I've also completed work in a lesser degree in 3D modeling, photography, and audio and video production. Show less

After the demise of Salina Press, I eventually found an open position at Dellas Graphics. During my time there, I spent the majority of my time working in prepress, but also being a crucial member of the company as I also repaired computers, managed the networking, and was the resident color matching expert. Before I left, I created a new web department within the company. I created eCommerce websites that the company managed, and worked with the fulfillment and mailing department to ensure that labels and reports that the system printed worked for them. If things were ever slow, I also found myself working in the bindery saddle-stitching booklets, shrink wrapping, using the large hydraulic guillotine paper cutter. I also spent some time back on the presses as a pressman's assistant. Show less

Aug 1994 - Aug 1996
Initially started working on Miller 5 and 6-color commercial offset presses, and after a year doing that, my computer knowledge moved me upstairs to the prepress department. During my time in prepress, I was sent to Scitex school in Secaucus, NJ for a week to master the Scitex Smart 340 scanner. The company was original an ESOP (employee owned), but was bought out buy some millionaires who drove it in to the ground. Eventually everyone was fired/let go one by one until it folded shortly after I left. Show less
