Part of my job involves giving lectures in International and Marco Economics and Thesis supervision. Most of my work revolves around my research, which is mostly quantitative. The EMIT (Escaping the Middle Income Trap) project, in which I participate, is a project that targets pragmatic policies for technological upgrading and worker-inclusive industrial strategies as drawn from firm-level analysis of the Philippines. I was responsible for merging and cleaning the 22 years of customs data and 11 annual firm surveys, creating an new panel dataset at the PSA (Philippine Statistical Authority) in the Philippines. My current research is using this firm-level dataset to answer questions related to firm behavior and the Middle-Income Trap. (See section Publications for a short description of my work) Show less
