At CPE, I contributed to empirical papers using multiple large and longitudinal datasets. One article, as a a first author, was invited for a revise and resubmit from the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). I was able to continue my research in psychology and education through a criminal justice lens. I continued to manage large datasets and perform rigorous statistical analyses. At NYU, I was first- and second- author on over 10 manuscripts, most of which are published in top-tier journals, including Child Development and Developmental Psychology. Most of these published tested for risk factors in adolescents’ psychological well-being academic performance and achievement. I took courses and published across an array of advanced statistical analyses, including regression analyses with continuous and categorical data, survival analysis, psychometric theory, multi-level modeling, longitudinal data analysis, multilevel modeling, and structural equation or latent variable modeling. I gave over 20 oral presentations, which were all quantitative empirical studies, at academic conferences. I exhibited exceptional oral-written communication and time management skills by producing numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals within a small period of time. I also oversaw and managed a team of research assistants. I also accumulated over two years of teaching experience in research methods and statistics. Cleaned, coded, transformed, and analyzed a large self-report questionnaire that followed a sample of adolescents over three waves with yearly time intervals. I lead a project in which I analyzed the data to answer a complex research question and contributed to manuscript write-up. The project resulted in a publication in a peer-review journal.
