  As of 1st September, 2015, my position has changed to the Head of the Department. My priorities for this position is to facilitate moving the department further towards an internationally-renowned academic department with strong research profile and high quality education.

  My key topics for the "habilitation" were Models and Properties of Software Components, Consistency (e.g. compatibility) of Dynamically Evolving Component Architectures. The research contributions which the habilitation work summarized included a meta-model of component which uniquely enhances this component type representation with semantic (ontology based) information, and methods for syntactic and extra-functional consistency verification, in particular contextual substitutability of components.

• Reliable Software Architectures research group, leader

  The group focuses on methods and models which help specify, analyse and verify software with high complexity and/or quality requirements, from architectural point of view and from development methodology point of view. As the group's head, I am steering research directions, fostering cooperation and research work, leading publication and grant activities, mentoring junior research assistants, budget and management duties.
