My key topics for the "habilitation" were Models and Properties of Software Components, Consistency (e.g. compatibility) of Dynamically Evolving Component Architectures. The research contributions which the habilitation work summarized included a meta-model of component which uniquely enhances this component type representation with semantic (ontology based) information, and methods for syntactic and extra-functional consistency verification, in particular contextual substitutability of components.
