Jim and I have a long history working together. In short, Jim is responsible for getting me started in the copier sales industry. He hired, trained and mentored me into a top producing sales representative at Konica Minolta. Jim has the most unique talent of recognizing the potential in someone, even when they don't see it, and then helping you mold that potential into a strong asset. I have witnessed these abilities in watching Jim build an extremely successful sales team from the ground up at Konica Minolta, and that team was the top producing district for 10+ years in the organization under his management. Jim's ability to be strategic in sales planning and create highly compelling sales campaigns, coupled with his strong sales leadership is second to none, and was welcomed by all levels of sales at Konica Minolta. Later, as my career path moved toward a more specialized part of the print industry, Jim and I found ourselves working together at IKON, and I was in a position to witness his ability to lead a sales organization. Not at all to my surprise, Jim stepped into an executive management role where he quickly and effectively brought a strategic sales organization to perform as the number one group in the country, successfully growing market share and margins well past the specified goals. Again, it was a complete win/win for the company and the whole sales team. The solid fundamentals of sales, strategic planning, time management and sales campaign management that I have learned from Jim over the past 15 years have kept me in the top producing sales ranks for my whole career. I still have the first ten fundamentals of sales that Jim hand wrote for me, in my first month of working with him, hanging in my office today. I was incredibly fortunate to work with him the majority of my career, and any company that wants to be highly effective in their sales production and growth through the building of powerful organizations would benefit from his management and leadership skills.
