      • Responsible for tuning and maintaining a rental fleet of at least 1,500 skis and snowboards each winter season.• Senior sales associate responsible for training and supporting new employees.• Volunteer to run company and community events • Manage buying and processing used goodsI have worked off and on at Next Adventure since 2017, and am very fond of the experiences I have had working here. The people I have connected with, the plethora things that I have learned and the skills acquired are something I am grateful for every day. I discovered my love for the outdoors through this job, and consider myself a bit of a gear-head at heart. I began as a tune shop technician, helping tune hundreds of skis and snowboards in preparation for our rental season, as well as any gear dropped off by customers to be tuned on the daily. From there, I found myself interested in working in other departments and slowly transitioned all across the store. Now, they say I wear many hats, I float around as needed - being senior sales staff, my knowledge spans the entire store. Currently, my main position in the shop is helping run the buy counter, where customers come to sell used gear. Ive learned the art of haggling, de-escalating situations, and team management as well as merchandising like a pro and balancing the "work hard/play hard" mentality. Due to school, I only work three days a week but truly value my job and love that I get to help people get outside safely and educate them about important principals such as leave no trace, the impacts of humans in wild places and mainly, respecting the outdoors.
