Few people combine the intellect and heart necessary to foster positive student engagement on college campuses - Emelie is one of those people. I had the pleasure of working with Emelie when she invited me to bring Dear World - a live portrait and storytelling experience - to Michigan State University. Above all, I was impressed with Emelie's commitment to bring diverse students together for productive (and positive) conversations about their backgrounds and differences at MSU. It was a pleasure to work with Emelie and she would be a true asset to any position requiring collaboration, student engagement and event planning.

During my short time at the students union office I was lucky enough to be working with Emelie. At the time she was Training and Development Co-ordinator at City University London. She really helped me feel welcome and a part of the team. She paid great attention to the little but important details, like making sure I had the extension number for dialling outside of the office; something that I ended up having to do quite regularly as part of my role. She's highly sociable and would brighten up anyone's day.
