I was promoted again with the support and encouragement of the Senior Management team at Orange Genie who helped me gain my qualification in First Line Management certification. I have managed the team, and together with each of them have continued to learn and grow as a person and manager to help me understand people and the unique personalities. This role has also given me the ability to form and maintain relationships with colleagues and our employed contactors, and consultants at our Agency customers who we work with and this is based on honesty, trust and straight talking. I was promoted to Team Leader of the team, and this helped the manager of the team concentrate on more important things to improve what we did as a department. I was supported by all my colleagues in the team which made my role easy. My responsibilities were to organise the day to day tasks required of the department and to make sure that all queries were answered and resolved within the SLA's we had in place, my role included co-ordinating the teams daily needs and ensuring adequate staff cover to make sure we could deal with the work load asked of us by our employees. This role gave me the opportunity to appreciate that role of managers and what skills are needed for that role. I was eager to learn and take responsibility in order to make the managers role easier too. Show less

I joined the company as part of the current now Employee Support team originally, as my experience in customer service gave me the ability to fit into the team and do the job well. After learning quickly the business and what we do, I was able to build relationships with employees and helped them with any requests or queries. I used my years of experience in this role for my whole career.
