I recently had the opportunity to work with Melissa on PostBox - a mobile app for creating and sharing interactive postcards. Melissa's interest in learning new technologies and aptitude for problem solving became evident early on, as she tackled our bandwidth issues by implementing a cache system for local storage. Her research skills, creativity and persistence led her to overcome difficult obstacles on more than one occasion and bring seminal features of our app, including responsive touch points and audio recording, to life. Throughout the project, Melissa maintained a steadfastly positive outlook and drove our team to exceed our own expectations of what we could accomplish. Her optimism, perseverance and strong technical capabilities made her a great teammate and a pleasure to work with.

Melissa and I worked on PostBox, a mobile app for creating and sharing interactive postcards, together. One of many traits that I particularly like to highlight is her positivity. She has a calm and assertive energy with the way she assesses problems leading to solutions which kept the team balanced during the 2 1/2 week of development. In addition, her extensive knowledge in react native and redux lifecycles was evident as she implemented a clever caching system with localStorage in our app. It helped us resolve the daily bandwidth limitation problem with firebase that we encountered early on. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Melissa. She has demonstrated a solid understanding in the new technologies and maintained enthusiasm whether working on individual slices or during teamwork settings. She will be a tremendous asset to any company.
