Project Manager (4 - 8 people team): in the framework of ESA and H2020 international projects: EO4SD (ESA initiative to support the uptake of EO-derived information in sustainable development) & CONSTRACK (Construction site detection and tracking service). Earth Observation Engineer: carried out development and implementation of products based on satellite images, GIS processing and Machine Learning techniques. I used the satellite imagery: Sentinel 1 and 2 (SAR and optical), Landsat 5, 7 and 8 (optical). My main work environments were: QGIS, Monteverdi, GRASS, GDAL, SNAP and Google Earth Engine. Programmed mainly in Python with Scipy, Numpy and PyTorch. - EO4SD – Pronarec1: implemented the procedure and elaborate a series of 4 LULC map for 200.000 km2 area of Bolivia (wet and dry season for 2 years). - EO4SD - Airbmp4: implemented the procedure and elaborate urban spawn during 20 years of 6 main cities in Myanmar. - CONSTRACK: implemented the procedure and elaborate images (optical and false colour) and change detection on 10 areas all around the world. - GREENDEX: developed a methodology to produce green and thermal layers suitable world-wide. - DCS4COP: performed the implementation of a user-case on the Mediterranean area on the project platform. - PROGIREG: gave technical support to our marketing department - CSEOL: worked on know-how transfer on Copernicus products to the participants. Project Manager (4 – 6 people team): managed 2 innovation and commercial phase of projects with RPAS: Waste-Landfill (development and commercial application) & Extinct-Perimeter (development). Also redacted legal documentation of the operator and manufacturer for the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency. Mobile Mapping Engineer: had a key role on payload (optical camera and thermal camera) and orientation (Applanix micro GNSS-INSS) sensors integration with the vehicle and imagery process chain for both Waste-Landfill and Extinct-Perimeter projects. Additionally, Developed the geodesic algorithms for the cameras and INS system of FGC Asset Inventory project. For the image process chain, I used Agisoft Photoscan, Pix4D and Applanix PosPac software. ICT-GIS Analyst programmer: developed a new module for a GIS web App with Adobe Flex and ArcGIS API and Java servers + Hibernate + Oracle databases. Also developed new functionalities in a web app with HTML+Javascript+CSS technology with Angular and Framework7. In both cases I used SVN as version manager and Eclipse IDE work environment. - Atmospheric correction with tailored software developed by me for satellite and airborne imagery (LANDSAT, AVHRR, Spot, CASI, TASI, DMC) using Fortran 77/90 with 6S framework. This allowed to enhance the commercial applications of the owned sensors (FARMSTAR project, AGRIPE project, etc), to improve the design of mosaicking processes in the company and to properly design the flight plans of airborne push broom sensors.- Laboratory VNIR-TIR sensor calibration: Performed calibration of a VNIR CASI sensor (lab and field activities) and collaborate on the process of a TIR TASI sensor (ground truth data acquisition). This helped to ensure the quality of commercial projects with the company sensors and allowed to develop agriculture and light pollution projects.- DMC radiometric and colorimetric calibration with tailored software using C/C++. This improved the quality of the raw images for orthophotos and the development (by me) of a new high resolution NDVI vegetation layer for the company. I also studied image resolution vs. atmospheric effect on DMC camera. This helped to develop a radiometric quality measurement procedure in the company.- Developed a change detection algorithm for change detection and cartography update, using GIS software (Miramon). This helped to better schedule the update of the cartography (topo and image) to the most transformed areas in Barcelona province.- Precision farming with CASI (VNIR domain) and TASI (TIR domain) airborne sensors and crop growth models where Developed field ground truth acquisition, laboratory calibration of the sensors and atmospheric correction of the data.- Also worked as Project Manager in private projects of the company: managed the company role in "Radiometric Aspects of Digital Photogrammetric Images (EuroSDR)" with a field campaign called Banyoles 2008 (ICC) and managed the private Delta 2010 (ICC) project for the calibration of a thermal hyperspectral airborne sensor.
