I had the privilege of working side by side with Dan to build M1's high-yield savings account and found him to be one of the most collaborative and thoughtful Product Manager's I've worked with in my career. First, Dan's product skills are strong. The complexity of building a new regulated financial product from the ground up on a new banking core can't be overstated, and he led the product domain with aplomb. Furthermore, Dan is a culture carrier and leader within an organization. His wry and often self-deprecating humor endears him to his teammates and builds real trust among people going into battle together. I would not hesitate to recommend Dan for product manager and product leadership roles, and would jump at the chance to build something with Dan again in the future.
