I had the pleasure of working under Eric as a student at Purdue and then also worked with Eric during an interim roll as a Coordinator. In my experiences with Eric he was very detailed oriented and made sure he had everything covered through making lists and check lists. He taught me a lot through his detail of at the conclusion of a training, event or season to do a recap. He would then have his notes for the following year so things didn't get over looked and the program could improve. Eric was very good at enabling his student staff, he enabled his students the opportunity to become very engaged in the rules and officials training allowing for the development of his staff. This created a lot of buy in for the program and made us as students want to do a better job. Eric's business background was very evident and it lead me down a path in his footsteps. Eric was very common sense and logical in his thinking and was great to work for and work with. I keep in touch with Eric and its always a pleasure to interact with him and I hope our paths cross again and I am afforded the opportunity to work along side Eric in the future.
