“Things can always be done better”, that is one of my business mantras and here one example. When I arrived at this company, they used to make a couple of stock orders per year with an important budget assigned to them, but I noticed that this led to some problems, one is that we have a low Inventory Turnover, and the other one is that this also affected our cashflow. The first thing I did was to identify, based on sales and quotations, the ABC inventory and then for each product I determined the minimum quantity we should have in stock. This was sort of a Kanban system, so when a specific product was in a low-level inventory an order was placed. The first challenge was to adapt this model, and the second to convince the managers to accept the proposal. It wasn’t easy at first but I insisted several months until it was accepted and now, we have a lower Inventory Turnover, better sales and better finances. Show less

I remember the day of my interview with Antonio, the owner of CCTI, for the job of Project Manager. It was a great conversation exchanging stories and expiriences we both shared, an 30min interview turn into a 3hr meeting. I was sure I will get the job as Project Manager, when at the middle of the interview he told me that I could be a great Consultant and if I would like to have that job. For a moment I didn’t knew what to answer, I had never worked in IT and always as a project manager, I didn’t knew anything about being a Consultant. But I love challenges, and trusting in his vision I sayed yes. And he was right, I love that job where I had to worked with a lot of different people, designing new process and with a lot of information analysis searching for optimized solutions, definitely a great experience. One of my main responsibilities was the launch of new products and facilities. What I like the most is that it allowed me to get to know every area of the company. With the suppliers for the equipment acquisitions, with Finance for the payment of the equipment, with Purchasing to have the materials on time, with Quality for the inspection and liberation of materials, with the Warehouse so they received the materials and turn them to Production, with Logistics so there could be a productions line assigned for production, Productions and Maintenance, from managers to operators, in the production of the first batch. This helped me to get to know all the areas and process in the company as well as their problems that each one faced from each one point of view. I had the privilege to launch 63 new products, and being part of the team responsible in the making of the Lubriderm and OTCs facilities. One thing I learned is the difference between do what they ask you and be sure it´s been done. For example, if I have to schedule a production line for the production of a new batch, To do what my boss ask me to do will only consist in sending an email to Logistics, but to be sure it´s been done I had to follow up until I saw it in the Production Plan. 12 years later I had the opportunity to visit the company and to see many of the people I worked with, from the Director and Managers to the production Operators with whom I shared great moments, and who help me to grow as a professional and as a person. Construction Project Coordinator

My main role was to be the Project Manager for the construction of a tower, but everyone was working in Monterrey and I was the only one working in Querétaro, where the constructions was being made, so I have also to supervise the construction of the showroom. They told me it was an easy task because it was a small building, but that was not the case. The drawings have some issues, and many other things that were not clear or decided. If I had study architecture it would be easy for me, but that was not the case. For me instead of being an obstacle in my job it became a personal challenge. My strategy was to search for people in the construction who could mentor me and who can help me to resolve my doubts. It was not easy because there where architects working for another project of the same company who want to have my job and thought I was in the wrong place for not being an architect, but after some weeks, I manage to develop a good relationship with them who finally help me to achieve my goal: to transform a plain land into the SAYA Showroom in the Q7001 complex.
