Focused on chasing my artistic muse with as much passion as I am capable of. I lived as an artist and sold my paintings online in the early 2000s. I returned to coding and was a successful corporate software developer for several years, working on many interesting projects. In turn these projects and the groups of talented and dedicated people I worked with, gave my life purpose and meaning. I enjoyed it, but found after some time I had drunk deeply enough from that well to be full. I'm now at a point in life where I am returning to the pursuit of art. I'm mixing my programming skills into it this time. I feel the world is ready to more fully appreciate digital art, I know I am. I ran an art business once before, selling my art with some measure of success those many years ago. I returned to coding, so it is reasonable to say I failed the first go-round as an artist. Now I'm a bit older, and more girzzled. I understand and appreciate the venture I'm embarking on will take time. It will take time for me to me to work on, and discover how best to express my vision. I'm ready to commit myself to that endeavor, with the patience and grit I've built up over the years. If that sounds like your jam, connect with me on one of my socials found on my website. Perhaps we can chase our muse together. Show less

      · Tools/Technologies used: Java, Clojure, Git, Lucene, Elastic Search, IntelliJ, Linux, AWS, Docker, Jenkins · Started off as part of a small seven person team working on a large-scale streaming text analytics product, that combined machine learning technologies such as latent semantic analysis (LSA) to create a unique ability to search on concepts rather than keywords. I worked on various product features such as: · Creating tools to visualize complex search pipelines · Design/implementation of integrations with 3rd parties such as Stripe, Twitter, GNIP (news aggregator) · Design/implementation of AWS/docker deployment strategies (including VPC private cloud environments) · Later transitioned to a larger 20+ person team working on a product using the same machine learning techniques, focused on visualization and search of large datasets, targeting the legal and intelligence fields. Some areas I worked on: · Design/Implementation of SAML based authentication feature · Converting existing application to utilize docker containers during development/deployment · Development of various product features such as scheduling, tagging, and document ingestion Show less
