Janssen Biologics is a Johnson & Johnson company, and one of the major pharmaceutical companies in the world. Within the FME (Facilities, Maintenance & Engineering) department I have several tasks and positions. As a Lead Engineer for the Flumab Phase 3 project, I've been responsible for building and placing a -40 freezer. The job included the bid evaluations, setup of the user requirements, commissioning and handover to the customer. I was also responsible for purchasing, engineering and the testing of process equipment for the Flumab Phase 3 campaign, including a filtration skid located in Chicago. This equipment was placed in a GMP environment and used in production. I was also based in Janssen as Modification Engineer for various sub-projects, including the realization of a NaOH Storage project. For this project the basic engineering was already complete, but the detailed design engineering and implementation with the Design & Build partner needed to be supervised.
