This was the first year when EA Imperial started actively building a community and running a significant number of events. Our main goal was to start building a core community, while reaching a wider group of students. For this, we organised discussion groups in topics ranging from AI safety through longtermism to biosecurity, invited speakers to speak about impactful entrepreneurship and animal advocacy (to mention a few) and had career and concepts workshops for our members. For this, we organised discussion groups in topics ranging from AI safety through longtermism to biosecurity, invited speakers to speak about impactful entrepreneurship and animal advocacy (to mention a few) and had career and concepts workshops for our members. I personally was repsonsible for communication with our speakers, organising the events and the marketing of the society. At the end of the year we built a community of 10 actively involved core member and 60 additional members from 1 member (me, hi!) at the start of the year.
