  Converted existing MATLAB data analysis code to Python code using Python modules such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. Made performance improvements to the command-and-control software for an acoustics-based weapons scoring system. The software is written in C++/CLI that is a desktop application using Window Forms. The modifications were needed to reduce the amount of time needed to provide the scoring information. Modified existing C# code using .NET Core 3.1 that runs on a Raspberry PI to control and log information from a GPS module. The current GPS module was replaced with a cheaper, better, and more available solution. The existing C# code needed to be modified to send commands and receive messages from the GPS module via a serial port. Created parsing modules in Python to take the binary data coming from the GPS module and put it into form that is a human readable and compatible with other tools to analyze the GPS data.
