Advanced 2-D Animation This course focuses in skill development in the use of software to develop storyboards and two-dimensional animation. Includes creating, importing, and sequencing media elements to create multimedia presentation, there is emphasis on conceptualization, creativity, and visual aesthetics. Special Effects and Animation Introduces the possibilities of creating art through time-based technology used in video and sculptural mediums; explores the enormous creative capabilities Adobe After Effects, Stop-motion, miniatures and silicon prosthetics. Using these tools, students learn to visualize, plan, and model in many mediums to explore their animation potential. Moving Image I/II This is a basic introduction to making electronic moving images. The intent of the class is to use the short project format to guide the student through several basic elements found in the video medium. Elements of Visual Thinking I, ESL Elements is a non-media specific class about students and their art practice. It is designed to challenge students to play and take risks and to develop a critical voice as a maker and a viewer. It will integrate art learning and language learning to help students to communicate ideas accurately and fluently. Show less
